Since 1980, The Mohammed Schools’ have raced through the East Atlanta neighborhood to promote a healthy lifestyle, support education, and create a spirit of unity in the community. This year we are celebrating 40 years and even though we can't have an in-person celebration, we can still get together virtually.

How does it work?

A virtual run/walk is like a traditional run/walk —friendly competition, t‑shirts, finisher medal, finish line selfies—only you pick the route. And what time to wake up.

To join the 40 in 40 challenge, you must first register on this site. After registration, you'll get an email with instructions to download the Pacer App that we use for the challenge. From there you can post pics and introduce yourself to your 40 in 40 community and get familiar with the app.

When the challenge starts on September 21, 2020, you lace up your shoes and start the GPS in the Pacer App to track your run/walk/hike/jog. The goal is to cover 40 miles in 40 days: just 1 mile per day. The maximum that will count towards this challenge is 10 miles per day. Throughout the challenge you will know how you performed versus others on the leader board. Set a goal and challenge yourself, challenge a friend, or just stretch your legs and get some fresh air. Still need that in-person motivation join us for our small social distancing weekly group walk/runs along our Race for Education route every Saturday at 7 AM starting September 26, 2020. Challenge ends on October 31, 2020.

And remember just like a regular run/walk, you can get swag: a t-shirt, bib and medal to commemorate your achievement.
