About Us

The proceeds of this race goes to Mohammed Schools of Atlanta.
The Mohammed Schools’ Race for Education is a community- sponsored race ran through the East Atlanta neighborhood.
A sure sign of a healthy community is when that community finds natural and fun ways to collaborate and celebrate. The spirited and fun Race for Education began in 1980 as the Muhammad Ali Road Race.
Among its goals is the promotion of health awareness, education, and the spirit of unity in the community. The race is hosted by Mohammed Schools of Atlanta, an independent school for students in grades pre-k 3 to 12th grade and is located in Southeast Atlanta.
The school’s mission is to teach children to accept their G’d-given responsibilities and to live up to their full potential as they work to become effective global citizens. Runners, walkers, cheerleading fans, neighbors, and school supporters of all ages are invited to share in the spirit of this legacy and run through East Atlanta: community unity, education, and health awareness
